Tottenham’s managerial search
Tottenham are still yet to appoint a successor to Jose Mourinho, who was sacked by the club in April.
Thus far, a number of high-profile names have been linked with the Spurs bench.
Julian Nagelsmann was said to have been of interest to the north London outfit, but he is now set to at Bayern Munich in the summer.
Ajax boss Erik ten Hag was also revealed to be of to the Lilywhites, but he then penned a new contract extension with the Dutch club until 2023.
Elsewhere, Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini was linked with the job, but he squashed those rumours pretty quickly:

Antonio Conte was even named as a target at the back end of last month, but those links appear to have died down somewhat.
Pochettino back to Tottenham?
Now, recent chatter has somewhat bizarrely linked Spurs with a move for ex-boss, Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine is currently managing PSG in Ligue 1, his first job since being sacked by Spurs.
And on Tuesday evening, speculation began to do the rounds online that Pochettino wanted to return to north London:
Understand Mauricio Pochettino told PSG towards end of last week that he wanted to leave to return to Tottenham. Situation remains that Spurs have a tough job to get him away from the French club, but there’s a real desire from Poch to complete his unfinished business at Spurs.

The Telegraph, though, now look to have put an end to that speculation, reporting that PSG are extremely confident Poch will stay in Paris.
It is added that the French giants have triggered a 12-month extension in Pochettino’s contract to try and end said speculation, meaning he is now tied down at the Parc des Princes until 2023.
Furthermore, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has also spoken to Pochettino and it is believed that at no point did the former Spurs man indicate that he wanted to leave:
