Chelsea have made a bid for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, according to a report on Tuesday.
Haaland impressing with BVB
Since making the switch to Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has cemented himself as one of the brightest young prospects in world football.
All told, Haaland has scored 57 goals in just 59 outings for BVB, a return which only top players such as Lionel Messi , Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski are usually able to provide in Europe’s top-five leagues.
The 20-year-old’s contract is believed to contain a release clause of around £65m, but that is not due to become active until 2022. It is therefore believed that Dortmund want to part with their star striker this summer.
Chelsea bid for Haaland
Such a sum may generally be quite unattainable for a number of clubs, especially in a post-Covid-19 world and if any clubs targeting Haaland would also like to do some other business in the market.
One potential option for anyone aiming to tempt Dortmund into selling the forward could be to offer a player as well as cash for him.

And, according to Journalist Ekrem Konur, that is exactly what Chelsea have done.
The Blues are to be prioritising the signing of a top striker this summer and have now seemingly stepped up their attempts to do so.
Konur claims that Chelsea have offered €70m and Tammy Abraham for the Norwegian.

Abraham would score 12 in all competitions last season, finishing the campaign as Chelsea’s top scorer despite hardly featuring in the final few months of the campaign.
