The British government is appealing to English Premier League footballers not to hug and kiss at goal goals. According to government officials, this increases the risk of coronavirus infection and jeopardizes the continuation of competition at a time when a lockdown is in place in the country and a new virus mutation is spreading.
"Everyone needs to change the way they come into contact with people, and that includes work. Footballers are no exception, and they are also subject to the safety protocol adopted to combat COVID-19. They must strictly adhere to the rules laid down." The AP quoted the words of the British Minister of Sports Nigel Huddleston.
In the Premier League, the number of people infected in individual clubs is growing, they have had to postpone several matches. Last week, they recorded 36 positive coronavirus tests in the league.
